Arranging physiotherapy for your parents in India from the Gulf
Families in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain are only a short flight from home, but work rarely allows a long stay when a parent needs care. Nuprana physiotherapists treat your parent at home in India by live video, and because the Gulf is so close in time, it is easy for you to join.

How it works
- 1
Message us on WhatsApp from your number abroad. Share your parent's reports, scans or discharge summary.
- 2
A Nuprana physiotherapist assesses your parent live on video at home in India, after screening for warning signs. You can join the call.
- 3
Your parent has regular 45 minute to 1 hour sessions with the same physiotherapist, usually daily, in Telugu, Hindi or English.
- 4
You receive progress updates, and Nuprie, our WhatsApp assistant, asks you and your parent for feedback so the plan keeps fitting.
Joining sessions across the time difference
The Gulf is only 1.5 to 2.5 hours behind India, and there is no daylight saving time, so session times stay the same all year. An evening session in India is late afternoon or early evening for you.
| Session in India (IST) | UAE, Oman | Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain |
|---|---|---|
| 7:00 AM | 5:30 AM | 4:30 AM |
| 9:00 AM | 7:30 AM | 6:30 AM |
| 6:00 PM | 4:30 PM | 3:30 PM |
| 8:00 PM | 6:30 PM | 5:30 PM |
Gulf countries do not change their clocks, so these times apply all year. Session times are examples. Your parent's schedule is agreed with them.
You do not need to join every session. Tell us which ones matter to you, such as the first assessment, and we will try to schedule them at a time you can make.
Your weekend and theirs
The UAE weekend is Saturday and Sunday, while Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain take Friday and Saturday. Tell us which days and times you would like to join and we will try to schedule those sessions around you.
Making the most of trips home
Families in the Gulf often travel home more often than those further away. When you are home for a few days, sit in on your parent's sessions, learn the exercises and how to help, and keep following their progress after you fly back.
Paying from abroad
Payment is in Indian rupees, by an Indian debit or credit card or by UPI. We do not accept international cards.
Most families abroad pay from an NRE or NRO account, using its Indian card or UPI, or ask a family member in India to pay. Many NRIs can now use UPI on an NRE or NRO account with their overseas mobile number.
