Arrange care from any city or country

Expert physiotherapy for your parents, wherever you live

When a parent is in pain, recovering from surgery or losing confidence on their feet, being far away is hard. Nuprana physiotherapists treat your parent at home by live video, keep you updated on their progress, and use your feedback to shape their treatment.

Care you can oversee from a distance

Many of the people who contact us are sons and daughters arranging care for a parent back home. We built the service around what you need to know.

You stay informed

Families receive progress updates as treatment moves forward, so you know how your parent is doing without having to ask.

Your feedback shapes treatment

Nuprie, our WhatsApp assistant, checks in with you and your parent periodically for feedback. Your physiotherapist uses it to adjust the plan.

Join sessions from wherever you are

You can join the video call from your city or another country, meet the physiotherapist, and see the exercises for yourself.

Comfortable for your parent

Sessions in English, Telugu and Hindi, and you can ask for a female or male physiotherapist. Many mothers are more at ease with a female therapist.

How it works for families

Step 1

You message us

Tell us about your parent on WhatsApp, from India or abroad. Share any reports, scans or discharge summaries you have.

Step 2

Video assessment

A Nuprana physiotherapist assesses your parent live on video. You are welcome to join the call.

Step 3

Regular sessions at home

Your parent does 45 minute to 1 hour sessions with the same physiotherapist, who guides and corrects every exercise.

Step 4

Updates and feedback

You receive progress updates, and Nuprie asks for your feedback along the way so the plan keeps fitting your parent.

What we commonly treat in older adults

These are the problems families most often bring to us. Your physiotherapist will confirm during the assessment whether online treatment suits your parent.

Is online physiotherapy right for your parent?

Works well when

  • Your parent can follow instructions on a phone or laptop screen
  • Someone can help set up the first few calls
  • There is a little space at home to move, about 2 metres by 2 metres
  • The goal is less pain, more strength, better balance or recovery after surgery

In-person care may be better when

  • Your parent is bedbound and needs to be moved or positioned by a therapist
  • They are at high risk of falls and no one can be nearby during sessions
  • Hearing, vision or memory problems make video calls very difficult
  • Their treatment mainly needs hands-on techniques

If your parent lives in or around Vijayawada, we can also send a physiotherapist home through our home visit service.

Questions families ask

Can I arrange physiotherapy for my parents in India while I live abroad?
Yes. Many of the families we work with live in other cities or other countries. You can message us on WhatsApp from anywhere, share your parent's reports, and we will set up a video assessment with your parent at home. If you are paying from outside India, ask us on WhatsApp about payment options.
Will I know how my parent is progressing?
Yes. Families receive progress updates during treatment. Nuprie, our WhatsApp assistant, also checks in periodically to ask you and your parent for feedback, and your physiotherapist uses that feedback to adjust the treatment plan.
Can I join my parent's sessions?
Yes. You can join the video call from wherever you are, whether that is the first assessment or a regular session. Let us know when you would like to join and we will try to schedule around your time zone.
Can my mother have a female physiotherapist?
Yes. You can ask for a female or male physiotherapist when you book. Many older women are only comfortable with a female therapist, and we will match that preference.
My parent is not comfortable with smartphones. Will online physiotherapy still work?
Usually, yes. Your parent needs a phone, tablet or laptop with a camera and someone to help set up the first call, such as a family member, helper or neighbour. After a few sessions most older patients manage the call themselves. Your physiotherapist will tell you if extra help is needed.
Is online physiotherapy safe for elderly parents?
For most older adults, yes. Your physiotherapist starts with a careful assessment and builds exercises around your parent's strength, balance and medical history. If your parent is at high risk of falls, we will ask for someone to be nearby during standing exercises. If online sessions are not suitable, your physiotherapist will tell you honestly.
What if my parent needs hands-on treatment or a home visit?
If your parent lives in or around Vijayawada, Nuprana physiotherapists can visit them at home or see them at one of our clinics. Elsewhere, online sessions work for most conditions, and if your parent needs hands-on care that video cannot provide, your physiotherapist will advise you on next steps.
How much does it cost?
Geriatric and neurological rehabilitation packages are ₹14,400 for 30 sessions. Spine and joint problems such as knee or back pain are ₹6,800 for 14 sessions, and recovery after surgery is ₹10,000 for 21 sessions. Each session is 45 minutes to 1 hour.
