Online physiotherapy in pregnancy and after delivery
Back pain, pelvic pain, wrist pain from carrying a baby, a gap in the tummy muscles, and not knowing when it is safe to exercise again are common in pregnancy and the months after. Physiotherapy helps with all of these, and online sessions mean you do not have to travel with a bump or a newborn. Sessions available in English, Telugu, and Hindi, and you can ask for a female or male physiotherapist.

Why online physiotherapy works for pregnancy and postnatal recovery
Leaving home is hard late in pregnancy and in the first months with a baby. Sessions at home can fit around feeds and naps
Most of the treatment is exercise, positioning and advice, which can be guided closely on video
Your physiotherapist sees how you feed, lift and carry your baby at home, and suggests changes that ease neck, back and wrist strain
You can ask for a female physiotherapist, which many women prefer for pregnancy and postnatal care

How an online session works
Set up your space
Position your phone or laptop so your physiotherapist can see you move. You need about 2 metres of space.
Live assessment and treatment
Your physiotherapist watches your movement, corrects your form, and guides you through exercises in real time. Each session is 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Progress and adjust
Your physiotherapist tracks your improvement each session and adjusts exercises as you get stronger. You also receive exercises to practice between sessions.

Contact your obstetrician or go to hospital urgently for vaginal bleeding, fluid leaking, regular painful tightening before 37 weeks, reduced baby movements, severe headache with vision changes, or a swollen, painful calf. After delivery, also seek care for fever, a caesarean wound that is red or leaking, heavy bleeding or chest pain. Your physiotherapist works alongside your obstetrician, not instead of them.
